I’m Juiced About Juice
Today I had juice made with carrots, celery, apples, cucumber, beet, ginger and a little kale. Before you pass judgement, you should know that it was delicious. And that I made it myself.
I have nothing to sell here, but simply to recommend, based on my experience over the last couple of months, since I have been putting my Jack LaLanne Power Juicer (purchased years ago at Costco) to work.
Just yesterday I replicated a blend I enjoyed from a juice company called Blue Print Cleanse. It’s pineapple, apple and mint. Fantastic combo. Even gave some to the kid, who absolutely loved it. By the way, a pint of this stuff, made with the identical ingredients, would run you about $10 in Whole Paycheck. And that is not one iota better than what I myself made with minimal effort.
I’m not juicing for cleansing purposes, although I suppose you easily could. It just feels good to take in such clean, wholesome, nutritional goodness that tastes great too. The variety of fruit and vegetable combinations is pretty endless, and you could look not only to BluePrint, but to any old juice bar for inspiration and permutations that excite you.
The key, obviously, is the machine itself. My LaLanne juicer, it turns out, is one of the best wellness investments I’ve made. (A Stairmaster being the other.) If you have 2-minutes more, you might even get a kick out of this old video infomercial:
