I had heard the term ‘French Food Rules’ and came to your site.

Unknowningly, I’ve used many of the same rules with my kids.

The only things that strike me as odd are #8 & #10.

Happy food? Joyful? I cannot make that connection. I love a good steak, for example, but I don’t derrive any joy from it.

I’m glad you came to the site. My experience is similar to yours, except to say that I derive enormous happiness and pleasure from so many foods that I can’t even think of too many that don’t make me happy.

Love this graphic. Very much in line with my own thoughts about food except for number 6. I think snacks are okay so long as they are not sugar/salt overloaded with enough calories to make them a meal on their own. Fruit, nuts, yoghurt, dark chocolate are fine in proper portions
